...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM CDT THIS
MORNING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL PULASKI, NORTHWESTERN TEXAS, SOUTHEASTERN
LACLEDE, SOUTHEASTERN WEBSTER AND NORTHERN WRIGHT COUNTIES...

At 452 AM CDT, Local law enforcement and the department of
transportation reported several flooded low water crossings due to
heavy rainfall. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring, especially across
the Gasconade River and Roubidoux Creek headwaters areas. The
Roubidoux Creek in Texas County has reached Moderate flood stage.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Western Fort Leonard Wood, Seymour, Diggins, Huggins, Plato,
  Manes, Competition, Lynchburg, Falcon, Roby, Odin, Success and
  Hazelton.

This includes the following low water crossings...
  Finley River at Harmony Road, Woods Fork Gasconade River at Rippee
  Ford Road, Finley River at Highway Z, Elliot Branch at Highway NN,
  Elk Creek at Highway Z, West Fork Roubidoux Creek at Upton Road
  and Rock Creek at Rock Creek Road.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
