...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL SOCORRO COUNTY
UNTIL 745 PM MDT...

At 713 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northeast of Escondida, or 10 miles northeast of Socorro,
moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
  La Joya, San Acacia, Lemitar, Escondida, Contreras and Chamizal.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 172. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 152 and 159.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
