.DISCUSSION...

Low pressure developing along a slow moving cold front will yield
a widespread rain for southern New England tonight and Friday.
1 to 2 inches of rain is expected, highest totals across RI and
eastern MA, where up to 3 inches is possible. Drier weather
arrives Friday afternoon along with gusty northwest winds 20 to
30 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph possible at times.

Minimum relative humidities the rest of this afternoon are
expected to range from 80 to 90 percent, then lowering to 30 to
40 percent Friday afternoon.

.OUTLOOK...Saturday and Sunday...

Dry weather Saturday along with NW winds diminishing. A few
showers are possible Saturday night into Sunday morning. Then dry
weather returns Sunday afternoon, along with a modest NW wind.
