.DISCUSSION...Above normal temperatures will prevail through
Thursday with triple-digit temperatures and heat index values
expected each afternoon. Afternoon relative humidity will fall
below 30 percent across Zapata, Jim Hogg, and Starr counties this
afternoon, and along/west of the I-69 corridor Thursday afternoon.
Low wind speeds should preclude the rapid spread of any fire
starts. A cold front will arrive on Friday, bringing temperatures
closer to or slightly below seasonal normals. Low rain chances
return Friday through the weekend.
