......Preliminary Storm Survey Results...

The National Weather Service has conducted preliminary damage
surveys in Freestone and Limestone counties following the severe
storms that moved through the area Sunday April 28, 2024. Two
tornadoes were located in Freestone County: One EF-0 southwest of
Dew with a maximum wind speed of 80 mph, and an additional EF-0
in the town of Dew also with a maximum wind speed of 80 mph. A
brief EF-0 was found near Personville in Limestone County with
maximum wind speeds of 75 mph. Storm damage in the Burlington area
in Milam County is still being assessed.

Further assessment with additional results of the survey is
expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement this evening. However, a final report may take multiple
days to compile if additional surveys are deemed necessary.
