Western Kansas did see some clearing which allowed some showers and thunderstorms to develop and move to the east. Afternoon highs have ranged from the low 70s in Eastern Kansas to the mid 80s in Western Kansas. Winds have been southeasterly at 10 t 20 mph. Tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy with a good chance for thunderstorms. Some of this thunderstorm activity will be severe. Thunderstorms are more likely in Central and Eastern Kansas tonight. Western Kansas will likely remain storm free tonight. Overnight lows will range from the upper 50s in Northern Oklahoma and Arkansas to near 40 in Northwest Kansas. Winds will be shifting to the west at 15 to 25. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and mild. Afternoon highs will range from 75 to 80 region wide. Winds will be out of the west and southwest at 15 to 25 mph with the higher wind gusts likely in Western Kansas. $$
