...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT JEFFERSON AND SOUTHWESTERN
ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 915 AM CDT...

At 846 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
La Belle, or 8 miles southwest of Central Gardens, moving southeast
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Sabine Pass,
Central Gardens, Fannett, La Belle, Port Acres, Southeast Texas
Regional Airport, and Sea Rim State Park.

This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 850 and
839.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
