.SYNOPSIS...Strengthening low pressure will track NE from near
the North Carolina coast and Delmarva early today, lifting a warm
front N of the waters, while a trailing cold front moves
offshore by this afternoon. The strengthening low will pass well N
of the area tonight into Sun as the trailing cold front moves E
over the waters. Another low will develop along the front over
the waters later today and tonight. The low will drift E Sun and
continue to intensify, with the low passing E of the waters by
Sun night. The intense low will persist just E of the waters Sun
night and Mon. The low will begin to slowly weaken Mon night into
Tue night as it moves off to the SE passing just W then S of
Bermuda. All mariners should closely monitor the latest forecast,
examine avoidance routing, and use caution over the waters over
the next several days as a prolonged period of gale to storm
force winds and building seas is expected, with some chance for
hurricane force winds mainly near the north wall of the gulf
stream by Sun night and Mon. Otherwise, a weakening a high
pressure ridge will move E over the waters Wed. The ridge will
likely dissipate Wed night as a cold front begins to move
offshore and yet another low develops near the SE United States
coast.
