Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge extends from high pressure over the western
Atlantic across the Gulf coast states. The pressure gradient
between this area of high pressure and low pressure over Mexico
and the southwestern Gulf of Mexico is supporting fresh to
strong SE winds over much of the Gulf of Mexico, with seas up to
12 ft. The area of high pressure will start to weaken on Mon,
loosening the pressure gradient which will diminish winds and
decrease seas across the basin. Elsewhere, winds will pulse to
fresh to strong speeds near the Yucatan Peninsula and south-
central Gulf each evening through the forecast period.
