.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms expected again late this morning into the afternoon and
early evening before shutting down with loss of daytime heating. We expect the same
type of convection times on Friday. No fog is currently seen by the short range
models nor do we expect fog with convection being the main driver of reduced
visibility. That will occur mainly during the afternoon hours where heavy rains
could reduce visibilities to 1 mile in heavy thunderstorms. Chances of sea breeze
appears high just as yesterday and will likely kick off the heavy rains along the
boundary this afternoon. Light northerly winds this morning will turn southerly later
this morning as seabreeze begins to setup in the afternoon. Lightning will be highest
noon time and onwards through the afternoon before lessening in the early evening. Most
likely will see 5 to 10 strikes per five minutes during heavy thunderstorms.
