...AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT EAST CENTRAL SISKIYOU...MODOC
AND SOUTH CENTRAL LAKE COUNTIES...

At 843 AM PDT, an area of moderate to heavy snow was located along a
line extending from Fort Bidwell to 8 miles east of Lake McCloud.
Movement was northeast at 10 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Alturas, Willow Ranch,  Pondosa,  Adin, Davis Creek, Canby, Day, and
Lookout.

* This includes the following highways...
   Highway 299 in California between mile markers 1 and 56.
   Highway 89 in California between mile markers 1 and 8.
   US 395 in California between mile markers 7 and 61.
   Highway 139 in Modoc County California between mile markers 1 and
  23.


Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this dangerous
snow squall. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the
squall passes your location.
