...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTH CENTRAL CRAVEN...
EAST CENTRAL PITT...CENTRAL BEAUFORT...NORTHEASTERN CARTERET AND
PAMLICO COUNTIES...

At 935 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near South Creek to near Goose Creek
State Park to near Pactolus. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Washington, River Road, Blounts Creek, Lowland, Cayton, Florence,
Wilmar, Edward, Grantsboro, Royal, Bonnerton, Cox Crossroads,
Bayview, Bunyan, Whortonsville, Core Point, South Creek, Maribel, Nc
Pamlico and Merritt.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
