...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
  counties, Blount, Etowah and St. Clair.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 954 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen
    across portions of the advisory area.
  - Rainfall has become lighter over the past 30 minutes but a
    few locations may see an additional one half to one inch
    through late morning.
    This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Gadsden, Rainbow City, Oneonta, Attalla, Blountsville,
    Cleveland, Steele, Altoona, Susan Moore, Walnut Grove,
    Fairview, Nectar, Rosa, Neely Henry Lake, Hendrix, Horse Pens
    Forty, Camp Sumatanga, Gallant, Alabama International Dragway
    and Easley.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
