...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MAY BRING HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS
ACROSS NORTHERN ROBESON COUNTY...

At 250 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Rex to near Antioch.
Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Red Springs, St. Pauls, Wakulla, Rex, Shannon, Parkton, Rennert, and
Lumber Bridge.

This includes Interstate 95 in North Carolina between mile markers 32
and 38.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
southeastern North Carolina.
