Fire Weather Planning Forecast
National Weather Service Lake Charles LA
211 PM CDT Fri Mar 29 2024

.DISCUSSION...
South to southeast winds will continue through Easter Weekend as
surface high pressure continues to slide east of the region,
gradually increasing humidity levels. Expect southerly winds to
increase Sunday night and Monday as the pressure gradient
increases between the surface high to the east and developing surface low
over the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. Expect chances of showers
and isolated thunderstorms ahead of the next cold front Tuesday.
Following the cold frontal passage, expect northerly winds to
bring cooler and drier air for Wednesday and Thursday.
