Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong ridge off New England is forcing fresh to
strong SE winds over much of the Gulf of Mexico and rough seas.
Winds and seas will diminish over the next few days as the high
pressure system weakens.

.TODAY...E to SE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft.
.TONIGHT...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
.MON...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
.MON NIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
.TUE...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from 26N55W to 21N67W, followed
by a shear line to western Hispaniola. The cold front will move E
before stalling and weakening over the far southeastern waters
late today through Mon night. Fresh to strong N-NE winds will
prevail N of 28N behind the front to 65W with seas to 12 ft today.
Also, fresh to strong winds will be prevalent over the waters S
of 25N and W of the front today. Moderate to fresh winds will
prevail elsewhere into early next week. More tranquil marine
conditions are expected afterwards as high pressure becomes
centered over the NW waters.

.TODAY...E winds 20 to 25 kt with frequent gusts to gale force
within 60 nm of the coast early, then diminishing to 15 to 20 kt.
Seas 6 to 8 ft, subsiding to 5 to 7 ft.
.TONIGHT...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
.MON...E winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and E to SE 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
