...RISING WATER LEVELS ON AREA RIVERS SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

A weather system will trigger scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms in the Cascades Sunday. These showers and storms may
cause locally heavy rainfall amounts. Another system will bring
rain to the area Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The rain,
combined with increased runoff from snowmelt, will increase water
levels on streams and rivers along the East Slopes of the
Washington Cascades. Minor flooding and ponding of water may occur
along small streams, creeks, and ditches near and downstream of
thunderstorms. The Naches River is expected to hover around flood
stage by late Monday, and possibly rise above flood stage by
Wednesday.
