Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
600 AM MDT Fri Apr 20 2018

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...A storm system will move east
across the central and southern Rockies through tonight. Snow
showers will become widespread in the mountains this morning, with
rain showers also developing near the eastern border. As the
system moves east this afternoon, the showers will become
widespread this afternoon with isolated thunderstorms in and near
the mountains. The snow level will lower from around 8000 feet
this morning to 5000 feet tonight. Snow accumulations will be
light on the plains, but there will be some heavy snow showers in
the higher mountains.

Strong south to southeast winds will continue over the plains
today, becoming lighter and more easterly by late afternoon.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...
The storm system will continue to produce light rain and snow
across the region on Saturday. It will exit the region Saturday night
with drier and warmer weather returning for Sunday and Monday.
Another chance for precipitation for the mountains and parts of
the northeast plains will arrive Tuesday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
