FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
546 AM EDT Tue Apr 24 2018

...Cooler and not as dry Today and Wednesday...

.DISCUSSION: After the recent warm and dry conditions, expect
a cool down into Wednesday. Temperatures will stay in the 40s
near Lake Superior and reach the 50s inland. Minimum RH values
will not be as low as recently, with readings lowering to 30 percent
near the Wisconsin state line. A cold front moving through could
lead to a few rain showers this afternoon with some rain and snow
showers tonight. Precipitation amounts will be very light if they
occur at all. North winds will be gusty behind the front with up
to 15 mph expected this afternoon. Another cold front will move
toward Upper Michigan on Thursday. Expect a warmer and drier day
on Thu ahead of the front with temperatures into the 60s and min
RH as low as 25 percent. The main issue with the cold front on
Thu will be shifting winds from southwest to north with gusts
late day to 25 mph near Lake Superior. Light rain changing to
snow as the front moves through Thu night. More cool weather
Fri and Sat behind the front but then weather becomes much
warmer and drier by early next week.
