...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN WINONA AND EAST
CENTRAL OLMSTED COUNTIES...

At 231 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of St.
Charles, or 19 miles east of Rochester, moving northeast at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
St. Charles, Altura, Elba, Minneiska, Beaver, Whitewater State Park,
County Roads 9 And 10, Carley State Park, Whitman, County Roads 28
And 31, Little Valley and Lazy D Campground.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
