This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A wintry mix is expected to transition to a band of wet
accumulating snow along and north of Highway 30 this morning.
Moderate to heavy snow is possible with snowfall rates of 1 inch
or more per hour. A few rumbles of thunder are also possible.
This will result in travel impacts with periods of low visibility
and accumulation on bridges, overpasses and secondary roads
within this band of snow. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in
effect for much of the area along and north of Highway 30 through
early afternoon. There still remains some uncertainty on the exact
location of this band, with amounts likely to taper off quickly on
either side.

South of Highway 30 through the remainder of the region, rain or
a wintry mix at times will likely change over to a burst of snow
between mid morning through mid afternoon before the precipitation
ends. This may be bring a period of reduced visibility and minor
accumulation on grassy and elevated surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

The active weather will continue through the weekend into early
next week, with several periods of precipitation and strong
winds. Isolated thunderstorms are possible on Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Any snowfall reports over 1 inch will be appreciated.
