...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN HENDERSON...SOUTHWESTERN ROCK ISLAND...WESTERN
MERCER...NORTHEASTERN DES MOINES...SOUTHEASTERN LOUISA...CEDAR...
SCOTT...MUSCATINE AND SOUTHWESTERN CLINTON COUNTIES...

At 434 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Cedar Bluff to near Sweetland Center to Bald Bluff,
moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Davenport, Rock Island, Bettendorf, Muscatine, Aledo, Tipton, Durant,
Stanwood, Eldridge, Milan, West Liberty, Wilton, Walcott, Blue Grass,
Buffalo, Andalusia, Fruitland, Lowden, Millersburg, and New Boston.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 74 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 3.
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 256 and 299.
 Interstate 280 between mile markers 1 and 13.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
the Quad Cities.
