...Gusty Winds and Elevated Threat for Wildfires Today...

Sustained south to southwest winds will increase to 10 to 15 mph,
with gusts of 20 to 30 mph from late this morning through this
afternoon. These gusty winds, along with rather low humidity and
dry fuels, will lead to an elevated threat for wildfires. This
combination will also enable fires to spread quickly.

In addition, winds may gust up to 30 mph on Laurel River Lake,
Lake Cumberland, and Cave Run Lake, which could lead to rough
chop for area boaters.

Conditions should improve with easing winds and rising relative
humidity in the evening.
