Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...
Low pressure 29.50 inches deepens and moves northeast out of the
Mississippi Valley this morning. The low will continue to move
northeast, reaching the western end of Lake Erie by this evening
and Georgian Bay by Friday morning before lifting into James Bay
Friday night. A trough will linger over the lake into Friday
night. A ridge of high pressure 30.00 inches will build across the
lake on Saturday followed by weak low pressure 29.70 inches that
crosses the lake on Sunday. Weak high pressure 30.00 inches
returns on Monday.

increasing to 30 knots. Showers with a chance of thunderstorms in
the evening, then showers likely with a slight chance of
thunderstorms after midnight. A chance of showers with a slight
chance of thunderstorms late. Waves 2 to 4 feet building to 4 to
7 feet. Waves occasionally around 9 feet.
.FRIDAY...West winds to 30 knots. Showers likely. Waves 5 to
8 feet. Waves occasionally around 10 feet.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...West winds to 30 knots. A chance of showers.
Waves 5 to 8 feet subsiding to 3 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally
around 10 feet.
.SATURDAY...West winds 15 to 25 knots becoming southwest and
diminishing to 10 to 15 knots. Waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to
1 to 2 feet.
.SUNDAY...Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. A chance of showers and
