Estimated Peak Wind: 80 mph Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/02/2024 Start Time: 09:18 AM EDT Start Location: 1 NE Cardinal Hill / Fayette County / KY Start Lat/Lon: 38.0476 / -84.5274 End Date: 04/02/2024 End Time: 09:18 AM EDT End Location: 1 ENE Cardinal Hill / Fayette County / KY End Lat/Lon: 38.0495 / -84.5193 Survey Summary: The National Weather Service storm survey team confirmed straight- line wind damage on Versailles Rd (Highway 60) in Lexington. There were many topped, twisted, and uprooted trees, and facing to the east. The wind damage was consistently between 60 and 65 mph along Versailles Road. However, at the Lexington, Fayette County emergency services center on Cisco Rd, two large trailers, fully loaded and chalked, were moved to the east. Wind speeds were 80 mph. Another area of damage at 1202 Versailles Rd at a strip mall, had some roof panels and trees topped, twisted and uprooted. Straight-line winds speeds were estimated to be around 70 mph. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ JDG/SG
