...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
  counties, Kendall and Will.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 622 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen
    over already saturated areas.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Joliet, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Romeoville,
    Plainfield, Oswego, Lockport, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Mokena,
    Frankfort, Yorkville, Channahon, Minooka, Crest Hill,
    Shorewood, Frankfort Square, Manhattan and Ingalls Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
