The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Cole County in central Missouri...
  Moniteau County in central Missouri...

* Until 230 AM CDT.

* At 112 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 11 miles west of New Franklin to 6 miles west of
  Camdenton, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near...
  Tipton around 115 AM CDT.
  Clarksburg around 125 AM CDT.
  California and High Point around 130 AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include
Jamestown, McGirk, Russellville, Centertown, St. Martins, Hickory
Hill, Jefferson City, Brazito, Wardsville and St. Thomas.

This also includes Clarks Hill/Norton Historic Site and Jefferson
Landing Historic Site.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for central
Missouri.
