...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN DE SOTO...SOUTH
CENTRAL RED RIVER...WEST CENTRAL NATCHITOCHES AND NORTH CENTRAL
SABINE PARISHES THROUGH 915 PM CDT...

At 842 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles east of Converse, or 22 miles southeast of Mansfield, moving
northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Coushatta, Allen, Pleasant Hill, Lake End, Belmont, Hanna,
Marthaville, Rambin, Armistead, and Ajax.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northwestern
Louisiana.
