...Data for Little Rock for April 2018...

.Summary...
April marked a significant change in temperature trends at Little
Rock. After a few warmer than average months in the late winter and
early spring, April ended nearly six degrees below the 30-year
average. Both high and low temperatures (which included several late-
season freezes) were significantly cooler than we would normally see
in April, and were among the coldest ever recorded for the month.

Rainfall was over three quarters of an inch above average. Even so,
this April was the driest in three years.

For the first time since 2003, and only the 12th time since records
began in mid-1874, snow fell during April, but was not measurable.

.Monthly Temperatures...
The average high temperature was the coldest since 1997, and the 9th
coldest on record. The average low temperature was the coldest since
1983, and the coldest on record. The average monthly temperature was
the coldest since 1983, and the 3rd coldest on record.

.Daily Temperatures...
Daily temperatures were above average on six days, average on one
day, and below average on 23 days.

There were three days with low temperatures at or below freezing,
which was the most in April since 1971, and tied 1971 for the most
on record for the month.

The freeze on April 16th was the latest freeze since 1983, and the
2nd latest on record. Since temperature records were started at
Little Rock in July 1879, the only other latest freeze was on
April 19, 1983.

There were seven days with high temperatures at or above 80 degrees,
which was the fewest since 2005.
