ECCDA DISCUSSIONS FOR YREKA AND MODOC CALIFORNIA DISPATCH AREAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEDFORD OR
254 PM PDT Mon Apr 23 2018

ECC002-241600-
WEST YREKA-
DISCUSSION FOR WESTERN KLAMATH
254 PM PDT Mon Apr 23 2018

...Gusty winds and low humidities over the mountains again
tonight into Tuesday morning...

...Very warm and dry through Wednesday...

A STRENGTHENING UPPER RIDGE REMAINS OVER THE AREA, AND A THERMAL
TROUGH REMAINS ALONG THE COAST THIS AFTERNOON. THIS WILL RESULT IN
CONTINUED DRY AND WARMER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS AREA-WIDE. THE FLOW
IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN OFFSHORE (EAST-SOUTHEAST) THROUGH TONIGHT,
AND WINDS WILL BE OCCASIONALLY STRONG AND GUSTY WITH MODERATE
HUMIDITY RECOVERIES OVER THE MOUNTAINS. WINDS DIMINISH LATER
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY AS THE THERMAL TROUGH MOVES INLAND. HOWEVER,
THESE WILL BE THE HOTTEST, DRIEST DAYS OF THE STRETCH. MUCH
COOLER AND WETTER WEATHER IS EXPECTED FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND.
