.DISCUSSION...

An upper level disturbance will develop a few showers and thunderstorms
over the Pikes Peak Region late this afternoon into the evening.  These
storms will have the potential to produce nickel size hail, erratic wind
gusts to around 60 mph, locally heavy rain and lightning.  These storms
will likely develop along the Palmer Divide, initially, during the late
afternoon hours and then spread southward, closer to the site, through
the evening hours.  Otherwise, expect gusty southerly winds through
the afternoon at the speeds indicated in the forecast below.

.REST OF TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Partly sunny (60 percent). Isolated thunderstorms
                    becoming possible after 1500, then scattered storms
                    becoming possible after 1600.
Max temperature.....68-73F.
Min humidity........39-44 percent.
Surface winds.......South winds around 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.


.TONIGHT...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (70 percent) until 0500, then partly
                    cloudy(40 percent). Scattered thunderstorms until 2400.
Min temperature.....45-50F.
Max humidity........95-100 percent.
Surface winds.......South winds around 15 mph with gusts to around
                    25 mph until 2100, then winds becoming light and
                    variable.
