...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE NORTHEAST END OF LAKE
ERIE...

The areas affected include...
Lake Erie from Dunkirk to Buffalo...
The Upper Niagara River and Buffalo Harbor...

At 730 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
near Sunset Bay, or 39 nm south of Niagara River, moving northeast at
25 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Erie Basin Marina, Small Boat Harbor, Sturgeon Point, Lake Erie
Beach, Sunset Bay, Woodlawn Beach, Bayview and Wanakah.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...locally higher
waves...and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
