...GUSTY WINDS EXPECTED TODAY INTO TONIGHT...

.Advisory level wind gusts will develop over many areas this
afternoon in the wake of a weak cold front. The mountain areas
will see wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph while the coastal areas
will experience gusts between 30 and 40 mph.

  35 to 45 mph will develop early this afternoon and persist
  into the evening before diminishing.

* IMPACTS...Cross winds can make driving difficult, especially for
  drivers of high profile vehicles and vehicles towing trailers. This
  includes Highways 1 and 101, and State Routes 154 and 246.

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty

  This evening into tonight, wind will transition to come from
  the north while remaining gusty with the strongest winds in
  the foothills.

* IMPACTS...Cross winds can make driving difficult, especially for
  drivers of high profile vehicles and vehicles towing trailers. This
  includes Highways 101, 154 and 192...as well as the Gaviota and
  San Marcos Passes.

  shift and come from the north while remaining gusty.

* IMPACTS...Cross winds can make driving difficult, especially for
  drivers of high profile vehicles and vehicles towing trailers. This
  includes Highway 33 in Ventura County as well as Interstate 5
  and Highway 14 in Los Angeles County.

  gusts from 45 to 55 mph will develop this morning and persist
  into the predawn hours Friday morning. The strongest winds
  will be in the western portion, especially the foothills.

* IMPACTS...Cross winds can make driving difficult, especially for
  drivers of high profile vehicles and vehicles towing trailers.
  Areas of blowing dust can suddenly and dangerously reduce
  visibilities to near zero. This includes Highways 14 and 138,
  especially near the foothills.
