...NWS Damage Survey for 04/26/2024 Tornado Event Update 1...

.Update...
After initial NWS Survey, Henry County EM found additional damage
along the track of the supercell Friday, April 26, 2024, night. In
looking at the photos and compared to damage found earlier in the
track, and radar, it appears a second brief EF-0 tornado occurred
east of Clinton, north of the airport along MO HWY 7.

.Overview...
A supercell thunderstorm developed the evening of Friday, April 26,
2024 along the Linn (KS) and Bourbon (KS) County border, moving
east between 5 and 7 PM CDT. Several reports of brief
tornadoes were reported as the storm moved east-northeast into
Missouri, along the Bates (MO) and Vernon (MO) county lines and
through 7 PM as it moved into far northwestern St. Clair (MO) county
and finally Henry (MO) county. Additional survey information will be
provided by NWS Springfield for damage paths in Bourbon (KS),
Vernon (MO), and St. Clair (M0) county.
