SURVEY SUMMARY: A survey by the National Weather Service officials in the
town of Hadley, MN determined that most of the damage was produced by a
tornado with peak winds reaching 105 mph. The tornado touched down southwest
of Hadley, MN and reached the town around 10:57 PM CDT. The tornado had a width
of around 75 yards as it moved through the town, lifting to the northeast.
While a few buildings had damage, most of the damage was to trees.
No injuries or deaths were reported.

SURVEY SUMMARY: A survey by National Weather Service officials in the
town of Rock Rapids, IA determined that most of the damage was produced
by a tornado with peak winds reaching 105 mph. The tornado touched down
west of Rock Rapids, IA and moved south of town before lifting
southeast of town. At peak width, the tornado had a width of 75 yards.
Outbuildings to four farmsteads were damaged west and south of Rock Rapids.
Additional tree damage was observed south and southeast of Rock Rapids.

Additional tornadoes were reported and information on the path and rating
will be provided on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
