...Storm Surveys Planned for Saturday, April 27, 2024...

Teams from the National Weather Service office in Des Moines will
conduct storm surveys today, April 27, 2024, to evaluate damage from
storms that moved through the area on the afternoon and evening of
Friday, April 26, 2024. Initial plans are to survey damage in/near
Polk County, Clarke County, and perhaps Union County. However, this is
subject to change without notice.

The results and conclusions of the surveys will be transmitted via a
Public Information Statement, posted to our website [weather.gov/dmx],
and on social media by later today. Additional damage may be surveyed
in the coming days as more information becomes available.
