...NWS Meteorologists Surveying Storm Damage Across the TN
Valley...

The National Weather Service office in Huntsville AL has deployed
three survey teams to investigate damage across Jackson and
Lawrence counties in Alabama and Lincoln county in Tennessee. The
surveys are in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved
through the area on May 8, 2024.

A final assessment including results of the surveys will likely
take a few days to compile before made official. Additional
surveys will be also likely be needed in the upcoming days. We
appreciate your patience. Supplemental drone and satellite imagery
requested will likely lead to further refinements of previous and
future survey results.

website at http://www.weather.gov/hun
