Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
238 PM CDT Thu Apr 25 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A cool and potentially very wet end of the week will keep fire
weather concerns to a minimum for western and north central
Nebraska. The first storm system will bring showers and
thunderstorms this evening through Friday, while a second system
will bring additional rain later Saturday into Sunday. Widespread
1"+ moisture amounts appear likely, while some locations in the
Sandhills may surpass 2" by the end of the weekend. Heading into
next week, conditions warm and dry, but the threat of critical
fire weather remains generally low.
