...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT KNOX...NORTHERN BLOUNT...WEST
CENTRAL JEFFERSON...NORTHWESTERN SEVIER AND SOUTHWESTERN GRAINGER
COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 AM EDT...

At 919 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Louisville, or near Alcoa, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Maryville, Sevierville, Alcoa, Farragut, Pigeon Forge,
Louisville, Rockford, Eagleton Village, and Strawberry Plains.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
