This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.
  Elevated fire weather risk.

DISCUSSION...

Elevated fire risk exists this afternoon within a dry air mass,
with minimum humidity values of 20 to 30 percent. The driest
areas will be across the eastern Ozarks. Southerly winds will be
sustained at 10 to 20mph with gusts up to 30mph this afternoon.
Any vegetation that has not greened up yet and remains dry will be
especially susceptible to fire.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

There is a 20 to 60 percent chance of showers Tuesday, mainly
across central Missouri.

Higher chances of showers and thunderstorms, 40 to 80 percent
chances, return Thursday and Friday. Some strong to severe
thunderstorms may be possible on Friday. Shower and storm chances
could linger into next weekend.
