Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
311 PM CDT Fri Apr 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather looks to be non-existent across the region as
multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are forecast to move
into the districts late tonight and through tomorrow. This will
last through the first half of the weekend period before drier
conditions prevail by mid to late morning on Sunday. As a result,
RH will trend elevated for Saturday with percentages between 65
and 80 percent. These will decrease to a range of 40 and 50
percent by Sunday afternoon. Mixing heights will approach 2000 ft
Saturday afternoon before increasing to 4000-6000 ft Sunday. 20
ft winds will increase through the period, trending between 10-15
mph, remaining northeasterly.
