Synopsis for the Suwannee River to Okaloosa-Walton county Line
out to 60 nm
429 AM EDT Tue Mar 26 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

Gusty southeasterly winds will continue through the late
afternoon today ahead of the approaching cold front. A Gale warning
is in effect through 12z for our waters west of Apalachicola and
will switch to a small craft advisory following 12z, lasting through
06z Wednesday. For waters east of Apalachicola, the small craft
advisory will continue through 0z Wednesday. Winds will diminish
below advisory levels and become north-northeasterly following
frontal passage, though the small craft advisory was hoisted to
account for seas greater than 7 feet through the duration of the
aforementioned advisories. Advisory conditions may be met once again
on Thursday as the pressure gradient tightens behind the cold front,
serving to increase winds in its wake.
