Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
255 PM MDT Thu Apr 19 2018

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Friday...South-southeast winds gusting to
45 mph will continue tonight for areas east of I-25 and south of
I-76. Relative humidities recovery will be poor here tonight due
to the windy conditions. Farther east, rain will be possible
tonight. There will be a good chance for rain and mountain snow
Friday as the next storm system moves into Colorado.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday night through Tuesday...The next spring
storm will move across the region Friday into Saturday bringing
accumulating snowfall to the Front Range Mountains, Foothills, and
Palmer Divide above 6000 ft. Areas below 6000 ft will see rain and a
mix of rain and snow into Saturday morning. This will help to
bring some much needed moisture to the plains and foothills.
Temperatures however will rebound quickly with 60s on Sunday and
70s possible by Monday with dry conditions. Another chance for
precipitation for the mountains will arrive Tuesday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
