APRIL 2018 WAS A VERY COLD AND FAIRLY DRY MONTH. THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS A VERY CHILLY 36.2 DEGREES FARENHEIT,
WHICH WAS 7.6 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL 43.8 DEGREES FARENHEIT. THIS
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE RANKED AS THE 9TH COLDEST APRIL ON RECORD. A
RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE OF 2 DEGREES FARENHEIT WAS SET ON THE 6TH,
BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 3 DEGREES FARENHEIT SET ON THAT DATE IN
1979. A RECORD LOW MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 18 DEGREES FARENHEIT WAS
ALSO SET ON THE 6TH, WHICH BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 23 DEGREES
FARENHEIT, SET IN 1923. THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION MEASURED FOR THE
MONTH WAS 0.58 HUNDREDTHS, WHICH WAS 0.89 HUNDREDTHS BELOW THE
NORMAL 1.27 INCHES.
