Around the region during the morning hours, snow and blowing snow
continued across southwest North Dakota. Winds were out of the
northeast around 20 mph. Temperatures were in the teens
northeast and 20s southwest.

A strong winter storm system will continue to impact the Northern
Plains today. Heavy snow and strong winds will persist into early
this weekend for portions of the South Dakota and Minnesota.
Travel will be hazardous, especially through southeastern Montana,
southwestern North Dakota, South Dakota and southern Minnesota
tonight and Friday. Keep updated on the forecast and road
conditions if you plan to travel.
