A trough of low pressure over eastern Montana, eastern Wyoming and
Saskatchewan late Tuesday morning is forecast to move eastward into
the western Dakotas this afternoon and tonight. Look for increasing
clouds and chances for rain over western portions of the Northern
Plains early today, with rain chances shifting to the Dakotas and
eastern Saskatchewan this afternoon. Look for breezy southeast winds
ahead of the trough today, with westerly winds behind the trough.
Highs today should be in the 30s and 40s across the region.

Tonight rain is expected to change to snow over the Dakotas, eastern
Saskatchewan, and parts of western Manitoba, with 1 to 3 inches
accumulations expected across the western and central Dakotas. Lows
tonight should be in the 20s to lower 30s.

Snow should change back into rain later Wednesday over eastern
portions of the Northern Plains.
