CENTRAL BRAZORIA AND NORTH CENTRAL MATAGORDA COUNTIES THROUGH 245 AM
CDT...

At 221 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near East Bernard to near Pierce to 6 miles
east of Ganado. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Southwestern Rosenberg, El Campo, Wharton, Needville, East Bernard,
Ganado, Pleak, Fairchilds, Beasley, Kendleton, Pierce, Boling-Iago,
Egypt, Louise, Hungerford, Nada, and Danevang.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT for
south central and southeastern Texas.
