...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT
CENTRAL SURRY...NORTHWESTERN STOKES AND SOUTHWESTERN PATRICK COUNTIES
THROUGH 1115 PM EDT...

At 1044 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bottom, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Dobson...
Pilot Mountain...
Francisco...
and Bottom.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
