Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast
National Weather Service Seattle WA
234 AM PDT Sun Apr 21 2024

.SYNOPSIS...Scattered showers and snow showers across Mount
Rainier National Park today with much cooler temperatures. High
pressure will help moderate temperatures and lead to more of an
offshore flow pattern in the Cascades Monday and Tuesday with dry
conditions. A weak cold front will cross the region Tuesday night
with additional weak disturbances and upper level troughing
leading to more unsettled conditions for the second half of the
week.

&&

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit will make it difficult to
move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions. A high
level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of
GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these
conditions.
