Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Michigan
National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI
346 AM EDT Thu Apr 26 2018

.DISCUSSION... High pressure will build across the region today
with dry weather and light west to southwest winds. Abundant
sunshine will allow temperatures to reach into the 60s for most
areas. Relative humidity values less than 30 percent are likely this
afternoon. Northwest flow accompanying a cold frontal passage
tonight and through Friday will lead to slightly cooler and more
moist conditions with scattered showers. Temperatures Friday will
range from the mid 50s to near 60 with minimum relative humidity
values of 40-50 percent. High pressure will then build into the
region for the weekend, with a tight pressure gradient promoting
gusty northwest winds of 20-25 mph during the daytime hours. Below
normal temperatures will limit minimum relative humidity values to
generally above 30 percent. Temperatures will rapidly warm early
next week, with highs by Tuesday likely reaching well into the 70s.
